Early Years Nursery first opened in 2002 and has two nurseries, one located on Norman Way and the other in the grounds of Swallowdale Primary School. We are validated by Leicestershire County Council (LCC) and are Ofsted registered.
At Early Years Nursery we understand the importance of providing children with positive learning experiences. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and actively encourage children to explore our rich learning environments, both in and outdoors. We have high expectations of the children and our ethos is to create thriving, happy, confident and independent learners.
**Exciting news happening at the Norman Way Nursery**
We are delighted to announce the opening of our new ‘Explorers’ baby room in August for children aged 6 months to 2 years. Bookings are now being taken and further details will be posted on the website shortly.
Extended childcare is now available during the weeks of the 16th, 23rd and 30th July. Children who are not claiming their full funding entitlement of 15/30 hours, during the term time, can bank any spare funded hours for use during these weeks. Sessions are available for eligible 2,3 and 4 years olds attending both nurseries. Sessions are also available for non funded children.
Following the success of last years playscheme, this year the holiday club will run alongside the extended childcare for the same weeks. This is open to children aged 3 to 11 years and further details of times and costs will be posted on the website shortly.
